Description
The interior spaces of the palace are designed to allow variability in the layout. The interiors are not designed in one way. The attic of the Schönkirch Palace (original building on the site of the current national palace) is dominated by an impressive beamed roof truss, built according to the Baroque pattern, which originates exactly according to old carpentry. On the other floors, the original elements are accentuated or, at the same time, the current materials - concrete and glass.
Location and access
Palace Národní is located to the heart of Prague and also on the crosses of all traffic types. You can reach Old Town, Wenceslas square and bank of Vltava river by 10 minutes walk. Just a few steps from the palace is tram connection to the city center and across the river, the metro station line B (Národní třída) is located nearby. An access by car is easy and parking is provided in underground parking where bike lockers are provided. In the surroundings of the building is a lot of shops, restaurants, cafes and theaters.
