Palác Schiller
Description
By joining two buildings together in an interplay between the classic and modern age an ensemble has been created, packed with architectural tension and many diverse elements. It was possible to retain the historic facades and a large part of the classic inner rooms, combining them with new rooms. The round steel extension with aluminium cladding and extensive glazing makes for an overwhelming view of the Old Town of Prague, completing the union of the buildings not only in a symbolic way.
